Fina Hanami Rosé 2022
Rose Hanami Siciliane IGP by Fina winery is inspired by the French which considers the Merlot grapes among the most suitable for the production of this type of wine. Merlot was introduced in Italy in the mid-nineteenth century and it found the ideal environmental conditions in many northern regions. It came to Sicily around the 1980s, showing a truly surprising adaptation.
Hanami shows itself with an elegant pale rosé colour and flowery bouquet of peach, jasmine, orange and boxwood blossom. Intense and round taste with notes of sour cherry, peach, blackberries and tropical fruits like lychees and grapefruit.
It pairs pefectly with fi sh and sea food appetizers, smoked fi sh, shellfi sh, sushi and sashimi.
How is the wine made?
Production technique: the must is poured into steel vats fi lled with nitrogen at 0 to 1 °C for about 15 days in contact with the suspended pulp.
Fermentation: In stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature (16 °C) for 8 days.
Refinement: In stainless steel tanks on the yeasts for 3 months.
About the winery
“Character” is the password of Bruno Fina and his family. Fina’s wines are the result of land that is loved and fought for, they have the taste of the passion and of the dedication of the work in the vineyard.
The history that links this Sicilian winery to its territory is unique and with the knowledge that producing wine in this environmental contest is a responsibility but is also the reason for pride.
Fina’s vineyards are located on the hill where the new winery and the structure for eno-turism were built. The vineyards include autochthonous vines like Grillo, Nero d’Avola and Perricone for which Bruno continues to search for original clones to give to his wines the antique and “original” character.
