Villa Sandi Il Fresco Rosé Millesimato Prosecco
Prosecco Rose DOC is the new type of Prosecco approved at the end of 2020 by Prosecco DOC Consortium. It has to be a blend of mostly Prosecco native Glera grapes, with 10%-15% Pinot Noir grapes. It will also have to age longer, for 60 days, double the time that a standard Prosecco does. Rose Prosecco combines the freshness of classical Prosecco with the tannins and strawberry flavours from Pinot Noir.
Prosecco Rosé DOC Villa Sandi presents itself revealing an elegant pink hue with copper highlights. Its aromatic freshness offers a bouquet of red fruits and floral scents in particular notes of pomegranate and rose. On the palate it is silky and full, with a very pleasant balance.
How is the wine made?
This elegant Prosecco Spumante from Italy is made from the Glera and Pinot Noir grape varieties. In Veneto, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and limestone soils. Following the manual harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully pressed. This is followed by fermentation of the base wines.
