Recchia Masùa di Jago Valpolicella Classico Superiore 2019
Valpolicella Doc Classico Superiore by Recchia winery is the wine that best represents the terroir of Valpolicella DOC area. It is therefore recommended as a starting point to explore the wines of our area. This Valpolicella Superiore is produced from selected grapes that are slightly dried. This production technique, unique to our zona, helps, produce a red wine with great character. It combines the freshness of the grapes with a spicy taste. It is a full bodied well structured wine. It can be drunk at any occasion but is specially good with red meats.
How is the wine made?
The grapes are harvested by hand the last week of October and immediately vinified.
The must ferments together with the skins for 10 days in temperature controlled stanless steel tanks. The temperature is about 20 C.
Ageing: 2 months in stainless steel tanks. 12 months in French oak barrels
Ageing in bottle: 2 months in bottle

For over a hundred years the Recchia family have been master wine makers. For many generations the family has lived in the heart of Valpolicella in the valley of Negrar.
