San Giovenale Rosso di San Giovenale
£38.50
ROSSO di San Giovenale is the second wine created by Emanuale Pangrazi and Marco Casolanetti (the winemaker of Kurni) in Blera area nearby Viterbo, Lazio, in the vineyard with 11,000 vines per hectare planted. It is a ‘small brother’ of HABEMUS and is literally made as a blend from the casks where wine has been ageing for HABEMUS before being blended and bottled. As HABEMUS, Rosso is a unique blend of international grapes: grenache, syrah, carignane; and tempranillo in the later vintages. The wine is powerful, with dense and rich fruit, yet it’s fresh and vibrant. Lots of chalk and sea salt character. Full body, firm and silky textured tannins. Long, long finish.
