Ferruccio Deiana Ajana Isola dei Nuraghi 2017
Rosso Isola di Nuraghi IGT Ajana is a grand cru of Ferrucio Deaina winery. This red wine is for wine lovers who can appreciate top level wines. Produced by maceration of the grapes and then aged in barriques for 18 months, this full-bodied wine is round, warm and intense. Excellent with rich meat-based dishes, game, and ripe cheese.
How is the wine made?
Winemaking: Accurate selection of the grapes, destemming and soft crushing, maceration at controlled temperature (22-24 °C) for 15 days, with a remontage every 6 hours for 10 minutes.
Refinement: In French-oak barriques (225 l) for 18 months, and then for 8-10 months in the bottle.
About the winery
A great passion and solid technical skills prompted Ferruccio Deiana to found a winery, finally fulfilling a long-time dream to have his own vineyards and make his own wines.
Ferruccio’s passion was immediately supported by his wife, Mariagrazia and by his son, Dario, following his father’s steps with comparable passion and commitment.
Grape varieties are those typical for Sardinia: Vermentino, Monica, Cannonau, Carignano, Bovale, Barbera Sarda, Malvasia, Nasco and Moscato. Ferruccio Deiana makes outstanding wines that consistently win international awards and get recognition in Italy.
