Pian delle Querci Brunello di Montalcino 2018
£29.85
Brunello DOCG is the main red wine of the small family winery Pian delle Querci. This Brunello is a traditional rustic style, with beautiful red garnet colour, and very complex nose expressing the scents of matured red fruits, sweet spices, toasted touch and chocolate. On the palate it shows an austere and elegant body, with a long and warm persistence. A beautiful companion for an important meal or celebration. Delicious with meat, game and mature cheeses. As required, the wine ages for 36 months in oak barrels.

Catherine –
Super nice, a small house with a long tradition of making wine! Lots of tobacco, vanilla and black fruit and dark chocolate; a Top wine!
Mark –
Tasted in Veneto, accompanying pasta with chicken, it presents an intense ruby colour, slightly cloudy, intense and complex aromas of red fruits, an explosion of complexity in the mouth, balanced, intense and structured! A true oenological experience!
Fabio –
Bright and deep ruby red with orange edges; in the nose, strawberries, dried fruits, plums, licorice, earthy and menthol notes, herbaceous touches; taste confirms the aromas already described and adds to the perfect combination of good structure and great balance. Fruity, juicy and persistent aftertaste.
Frank –
Montalcino region always brings excellent wines, presence of dried and red fruits. Incredible pairing with red meat and some sausages.
Tony –
Finely spiced and elegant start, fleshy fruit with hints of black currant, wrapped in frank floral sensations (orange blossom and lime); after a moment, hints of raw meat appear and the tertiary components thicken, bringing notes of liquorice and tobacco; on the palate it starts out spicy and fleshy, with a good acidic backbone and still slightly rough in the centre of the mouth; the progression is tasty, the fruit ripe, and the tertiary aromatic complex; it ends with notes of rhubarb and orange juice.
