Fina Nero d’Avola 2022
Nero d’Avola Terre Siciliane IGT by Fina winery has an intense ruby red color, with violet reflections, the aroma is complex, with notes of plum dried, cherry, blackberry, black currant, and raspberry. The scent is enveloping, fruity with notes of cherry, raspberry, pleasantly balanced. The flavour is rich, broad and velvety, with a great structure and aromatic persistence, with typical austere but gentle tannins.
The wine ages 6 months in large oak barrels.
It is particularly suitable for red meat dishes and some average seasoned cheeses, it also goes well with succulent first courses.
Nero d’Avola is the expression of a particular native vine of Sicily. It has been for centuries fundamental importance in the production of many Sicilian wines prevailing, however, its use as cutting wine. And it is only in the 1970s that a serious series begins experimentation on this vine, in order to study and enhance it. This wine, today, is called the prince of Sicilian vines.

“Character” is the password of Bruno Fina and his family. Fina’s wines are the result of land that is loved and fought for, they have the taste of the passion and of the dedication of the work in the vineyard.
The history that links this Sicilian winery to its territory is unique and with the knowledge that producing wine in this environmental contest is a responsibility but is also the reason for pride.
Fina’s vineyards are located on the hill where the new winery and the structure for eno-turism were built. The vineyards include autochthonous vines like Grillo, Nero d’Avola and Perricone for which Bruno continues to search for original clones to give to his wines the antique and “original” character.
