Cantina Sociale Trento Heredia Müller-Thurgau Biologico 2022
£18.85
Straw yellow with green reflexes, delicate, aromatic notes on the nose. Smooth on the mouth, with a good balance between the acidity and the structure of the wine.
Ideal as aperitif, it goes very well with fish and shellfish in particular
Once the berries are de-stemmed and crushed, the mass is chilled and the juice is kept in contact with the skins for a short period in order to enrich it with varietal aromas and flavours. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, after which the wine is kept on its fine lees for a while to exalt its aromatic character.
The variety was the work of Dr. Hermann Mueller, who named it after himself and the region of his birth: Thurgau. Originally thought to be a cross of Riesling and Silvaner, Müller Thurgau is in fact a crossing of Riesling and Chasselas. This grape was introduced in Trentino in 1939.

Trentino – Cantine Sociale
It was in 1956 when 11 Trentino farmers combined forces to create the Cantina Sociale in their city with an objective defending and promoting the area and its products thanks to the union of those who live and work in the area every day.
The original idea was a winner and the increase in the number of members and the quantity of grapes produced and delivered bears witness to this fact.
The vineyards that cover an area of 650 hectares are the “garden” of Trento. The rolling hills that surround the ancient city of Tridentum are the privileged place the grapes of Cantina Sociale Trento grow.
Cantina Sociale Trento makes wines from traditional local grape varieties: Riesling, Muller Thurgau, Lagrein, Teroldego, Gewurztraminer, Marzemino etc.
