Ferruccio Deiana Sìleno Cannonau di Sardegna 2018
Cannonau Sileno by Ferruccio Deiana winery in Sardinia is a red wine of ruby red colour. It has red fruit aromas with vegetal notes, warm, savoury and a persistent taste. Made from the native grape Cannonau by long maceration, Sileno spends a short period of time in oak and pairs well with roasted red meat, game, ripe cheese and cold meats.
How is the wine made?
Winemaking: Destemming and soft crushing. Fermentation with maceration at controlled temperature (24-26 ºC) for 10 days; remontages every 6 hours for 10 minutes each.
Refinement: In steel tanks
About the winery
A great passion and solid technical skills prompted Ferruccio Deiana to found a winery, finally fulfilling a long-time dream to have his own vineyards and make his own wines.
Ferruccio’s passion was immediately supported by his wife, Mariagrazia and by his son, Dario, following his father’s steps with comparable passion and commitment.
Grape varieties are those typical for Sardinia: Vermentino, Monica, Cannonau, Carignano, Bovale, Barbera Sarda, Malvasia, Nasco and Moscato. Ferruccio Deiana makes outstanding wines that consistently win international awards and get recognition in Italy.
