Recchia Cà Bertoldi Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2015
Amarone Reserva della Valpolicella DOCG Classico Ca’Bertoldi Recchia is made from the grapes coming from a small precious vineyard in Jago. This Italian red wine presents a perfect balance between its full body and the roundness of its taste. It ages for years in oak barrels and then in bottle. It is ideal for meditation. It surprises every time it is tasted.
The wine is deep ruby red, with intense, fruity, spicy and ethereal nose, and a full-bodied, harmonic, smooth, rounded and sapid palate. Excellent with roasts, grilled meats, game and Cheese. It can also be drunk on its own, in order to appreciate its pleasant complexity.
Vinification: the grapes are harvested by hand the first 15 days of October and let wither until they lose 35-40% of their original weight (traditional Amarone vinification process). Ageing 6 months in stainless steel tanks, 48 months in French oak barrels and 18 months in bottle.

About the winery
For over a hundred years the Recchia family have been master wine makers. For many generations the family has lived in the heart of Valpolicella in the valley of Negrar.
The latest technology has been incorporated into the traditions to improve the quality of the wine. Advanced technology, retail tasting and global exporting have become a way of life as well as a philosophy for the family for doing business.
The varieties are time-honoured favourites: Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara and together they form the soul of Recchia wines whether Valpolicella Classico and Superiore or the peerless Amarone and Recioto.
