Velenosi Brecciarolo Rosso Piceno Superiore 2018
£16.40
Rosso Piceno DOC Superiore Brecciarolo by Velenosi winery in Marche wine region, is a blend of 70% Montepulciano and 30% Sangiovese. The wine is ruby with garnet red shades, with intense notes of juicy red fruits, a bouquet of very fresh violets and hints of dark spices. Elegant vanilla notes complete its complex bouquet.
The taste is persistent, warm, full-bodied and well-orchestrated. It delivers the same notes to the palate as to the nose. A distinguished and equally charismatic wine.
Vinification: After fermentation, the wine is channeled into second-fill barriques, where wines for the production of the grand crus ‘Roggio’ and ‘Ludi’ were ageing the previous year.

Mario –
Very balanced wine in my opinion, slightly tannic with a very present fruity aspect, quite light in the mouth, all that I like
Michelle –
Aromas of undergrowth and cherries. Nose of cherry and forest. On the palate not too acid for an Italian and nice tannins. Nice!
Alfonso –
Fruity, good body, with hints of plum and licorice, orange peel and cloves. At this very good price
