Bera Basarin Riserva Barbaresco 2018
Barbaresco Riserva Basarin DOCG by Bera winery in Piedmont is an austere wine, elegant and frank, made from Nebbiolo grapes from vineyards in the subarea called Basarin in Neive. It is aged in big barrels for a period of 24 months to develop an elegant bouquet, composite and ethereal with aromas of violet, red fruit jam, spices like pepper and vanilla, liquorice.
On the palate Barbaresco Riserva Basarin is elegant, dry, balanced, with good structure and tannins. Wine of great harmony and great aristocracy. This wine goes well with red meats, game and aged cheeses and can be good also for meditation moments.
How is the wine made?
Vinification: grapes arrived at the winery are putted through the
destemmer and crushed and they are fermented for 2 weeks.
Ageing: the wine is aged in big barrel (2550 L.) for a period of
24 months.
About the winery
Bera family winery is farm is located in the Langhe area between Alba and Asti in Piedmont wine region.
The winemaking tradition goes back centuries but only at the end of the 70s Bera started producing wines to bottle and sell with their own label. Today, the winery is spread over 30 hectares, 23 of which are vineyards.
The family makes Moscato d ‘Asti, Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Barbaresco and Barolo. Bera also cultivates Chardonnay and Pinot Nero to create their unique and intriguing Alta Langa Bera Brut metodo classico.
