Aglianico Rosato ‘Vetere’ by San Salvatore is a Campania delicately coloured rose wine. The wine is made from Aglianico grapes that are organically farmed in vineyards located quite close to the sea.

With hints of banana, acacia and hawthorn on the nose, soft and structured on the palate, Vetere is ideal for pairing with Mozzarella di Buffalo, salads, fresh cheeses, tuna, salmon and chicken dishes.

Award: the best Rose wine at Sommelier awards by Frank Thomas 2019

About the winery

San Salvatore winery is located in the South West part of Campania, in the heart of the Cilento National Park, an ancient land, rich in history and tradition, where, as per belief, Aglianico, Fiano and Greco grapes were brought to by the Ancient Greeks.

San Salvatore is certified organic and is cultivating the land without synthetic products or genetically modified organisms.

The rose that the winery makes – Vetere – is incredibly delicate and pale, which is particularly impressive since it is made from Gaglioppo, one of the most tannic and dark red grapes.
