‘Zu’ is the ancient came of the plot of land where the grapes for this unique Bordolese cut wine are cultivated, in full respect of nature and with no added sulphites. ZU stems out of the heart of this land as an ancient sound. ZU is a chant that awakens man’s heart.

ZU is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and other black grapes from the estate. This Italian red is intense red-ruby colour with fresh, almost vinous bouquet, with hints of ripe black fruit, plum, blackberry, blueberry and blackcurrant. Pleasant, fresh, with tannic mouthfeel.

Recommended to pair with delicate meat dishes, chicken livers with cognac, pasta with chicken liver and sage, aged cheese.

Emilia-Romagna – Torre Fornello

The history of Torrefornello’s land goes back almost as far as 10 centuries, when the historical document from 1020 stated that Diacono Gerardo of St. Martin Clergy bequeathed the land to a noblewoman from Piacenza.

In 1982 the company became the property of Sgorbati family, family with the longstanding history of winegrowing. Enrico Sgorbati, the owner of the company since 1992, followed the steps of his vintner grandfather and decided to start the new era of Torre Fornello in 1998!

All the processes of the wine making are carried out in accordance with original values of Torre Fornello, combining passion and tenacity, tradition and innovation, art and culture.

Great wine. Elegant, fresh and complex. One of rare delicious wines with no added sulphites, not easy to find!
