With its aromas of apple, pear, and citrus, Pinot Blanc by Falkenstein is characterized by a pronounced acidity and a striking freshness. Very smooth and rounded in flavour at the same time, the wine has a beautiful structure and vanilla notes due to the use of acacia oak barrels during the vinification process.

The Falkenstein vineyard is a family run winery located on the slopes of Sonnenburg Mountain in Nuturno. It all started in 1989 when Franz Pratzner and his wife Bernadette decided to convert their passion to wine into their profession. Today, family traditions of winemaking are carried forward by the founders and their two daughters Magdalena and Michaela.

The grapes cultivated are mainly white: Riesling, Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon, and only Pinot Noir for the red. Riesling is one of the most renown in Italy with a multitude of recognitions and awards received.

A wonderful Pinot Bianco produced in Val Venosta between sunny and warm days and cool nights. Franz Patzner’s wine has a great minerality, it almost resembles a wine from the Mosel. Fermentation and aging in acacia wood barrels.
