Piedirosso by La Rivolta winery in Benevento area in Campania wine region derives its name from an ancient translation ‘Pigeon’s Claw’ due to the reddish colour of the vine leaves reminiscent of the pigeon’s claw.

Piedirosso is an informal and delicious Italian red wine that opens with aromas, ripe red berries, blackcurrant, some earthiness and leather. The palate offers fleshy dark cherry restrained by joyful acidity and mineral notes. We recommend pairing with pizza or hearty pasta dishes.

Campania – La Rivolta

Located in Torrecuso, in the province of Benevento, Fattoria La Rivolta cultivates vineyards on hilly lands that range in altitude from 300 to 600 meters.

With unique limestone and clay soil, the vineyards are located in one of the smallest DOCs in the region, Taburno, home to some of the most picturesque and mountainous vineyards.

Main wines produced by La Rivolta are traditional Campania whites: Falanghina, Fiano, Greco; and the Aglianico di Taburno and Piedirosso for the red.

Ripe red fruits, spicy, mineral, vegetable, wood, fresh tobacco, leather, fresh toasted. Balanced and elegant finish, a good fresh lively, ready. An organic wine that makes you appreciate all the biodiversity it defends.
