Su’entu Su’Nico Bovale 2021
Bovale by Su’Entu winery is a ruby red wine with violet hues, beautiful vivid colour, consistent. The wine is made of 100% Bovale which is known as ‘Boal in Spain, and it is pretty unique to find the wine made exclusively from this grape in Sardinia. On the nose Bovale is fresh, with red fruits and soft spices, the taste is enveloping, warm, soft, with mellow tannins.
This wine is for important meat: meat, game, mature cheeses.
How is the wine made?
WINEMAKING:
Grapes are crushed and destemmed prior to being fermented and macerated in stainless steel tanks for 7 days at 77 °F (25 °C) and subsequently soft pressed.
MATURATION/AGEING:
12 months in partially new small and large oak barrels followed by a at least 2 months of bottle aging
About the winery
SSu’Entu in the Sardinian local dialect means “the wind”: wind that purifies the air, sweeps away the clouds and brings good weather, wind that gathers fragrances and carries them for long distances.
The winery extends to eighty hectares, of which thirty-six are vineyards. The area, mostly hilly, has a long tradition of vineyard cultivation. Main grape varieties grown by the winery include Bovale, Vermentino, Cannonau, Cagnulari, Monica, Moscato, Nasco and Chardonnay.
Today, the entire family is involved in developing the project and is determined to make the dream brought by the wind come true.
