Mareneve Profumo di Vulcano
£42.00 £35.70
Mareneve by Federico Graziani is the result of a simple and bold idea to plant a vineyard at an extreme altitude to see how the vines react to cold climates and volcanic soil at high altitude.
The result is a brilliant white with greenish nuances, intense and slightly aromatic scents, fresh tropical fruits, white musk and lemon slush. Lava stone and salt.
On the palate, it is aromatic, extremely fresh and versatile, salty and very persistent. It reminds of the freshness of the snow and the saltiness of the Mediterranean sea.

Profumo di Vulcano
Profumo di Vulcano is a project and the wine created by Federico Graziani – the AIS Italy’s Best Sommelier 1988 and a professional sommelier having worked in some of the finest restaurants and hotels in Europe.
This small vineyard is situated in Contrada Feudo di Mezzo at Passopisciaro, and lies on the northern slope of Mount Etna. Located at 700 metres above sea level, the vineyard is sheltered from sirocco winds and has a daily temperature range of about 28°C in September. This gives the grapes longer time to mature on the vine and develop additional complexities.

Miki –
What an experiment, from the slopes of Etna a blend of Nordic vines that is spot on and intriguing. Sapid, fresh and with marked acidity. Recommend.
Victor –
A particular white from Etna, I liked it for its typical mineral contribution but also for the different notes coming from the grapes not native to Etna.
Luca –
An amazing blend of Riesling 30%, Gewurztraminer 30%, Chenin Blanc 20%, Carricante 12%, Grecanico 8%, from vineyards at 1200 m asl, it has a bright yellow with greenish hues. The bouquet with intense aromas of fresh tropical fruit, citrus fruits such as lemon, lava stone and salt. On the palate with aromatic strength, great freshness and flavour, nice discovery
