Durli Brut Metodo Classico by Dama del Rovere winery in Veneto is an Italian sparkling wine made in a champagne method from a local grape Durella. Only few producers make sparkling wine from this grape and Dama del Rovere is definitely on of the best wine makers in the area.

The wine comes from 30 year old vineyards and ages in the bottle for 15 months to acquire its structure and complexity. This Italian sparkling has floral and citrus notes of lemon and cedar. Persistent with fine bubbles. Long finish.

Food pairings: Perfect as aperitive. Excellent match with finger food, mix of cheeses and cold cuts and sushi.

Dama del Rovere

Dama del Rovere was born with 2003-vintage in Brognoligo di Monteforte d’Alpone, a historical Soave Classico zone in the province of Verona. The winery name comes from a small Statue of the Madonna that was found in an oak-tree in Tremenalto area where the Soave vineyards are located.

The winery is family owned, with brothers Massimo (the wine maker), and Davide, supported by their father and grandfather’s experience.

The winery works with 2 grapes: Garganega – to make classical and elegant dry white wine Soave; and a rare local grape Durella – for sparkling wines.

A great wine! Soft, elegant, lots of ripe fruit on the nose, persistent and soft perlage, can be enjoyed on its own or throughout dinner.
