Coda di Volpe Fattoria La Rivolta

Coda di Volpe by Fattoria La Rivolta expresses enticing aromas of acacia flower, bees wax, Mediterranean herb and orchard fruit aromas. It is crisp and linear, with greenpear, lemon zest, fennel and thyme flavours. Fresh acidity gives it a clean finish while a beeswax note lingers on the finish.

Coda di Volpe (Fox’s tail) is a type of grape mentioned by Plinius the Elder in his “Naturalis Historia”, with the name “Cauda Vulpium”. The name comes from the bunch of grapes, which when mature, looks like a fox’s tail.

Campania – La Rivolta

Located in Torrecuso, in the province of Benevento, Fattoria La Rivolta cultivates vineyards on hilly lands that range in altitude from 300 to 600 meters.

With unique limestone and clay soil, the vineyards are located in one of the smallest DOCs in the region, Taburno, home to some of the most picturesque and mountainous vineyards.

Main wines produced by La Rivolta are traditional Campania whites: Falanghina, Fiano, Greco; and the Aglianico di Taburno and Piedirosso for the red.

A traditional wine from Campania region from a local grape Coda di Volpe. Very delicate and smooth, goes great with Spagetti Vongole!:)
