Elio Filippino Barolo la Morra 2015
£35.50
Barolo la Morra DOCG by Elio Filippino winery in Piedmont is one of the most premium and important Italian red wines. La Morra is a modern Barolo as it ages in oak barrels and partly in barriques.
The wine reflects a harmonious bouquet with reminiscences of red rose, raspberries, cinnamon and vanilla. It presents a strong structure that allows ageing for a long period of time. Full, fascinating and elegant taste, intense with a good body.
Offering a rare balance of grace and strength, this noble Barolo is a wine for special occasions, memorable celebrations and elegant tables. It is a perfect match for savoury stuffed pasta, stewed and braised meats, game and pungent, fully ripe cheeses. Excellent with delicate fruits like strawberries.
Vinification: The wine ages partly in 25 and 30 hl Slavonian oak casks and partly in 225 litres Allier barriques, for a total of 20-24 months. Next, it is bottled and left to age, collecting all its aroma for at least 12 months.

High Quality! Characteristic scent of rose, truffle, tobacco and cinnamon. These aromas are reflected in the taste like in the nose .

Beautiful red wine. The barolo is and remains Italy’s best wine. Highly recommended with a piece of lamb. The wine is a true taste sensation
