Aglianico Fattoria La Rivolta
£19.95
Aglianico by La Rivolta organic winery comes from 30-year-old vines and is vinified partially in oak for 18 months and in the bottle for another 6 months.
Oak ‘passage’ allows developing aromas of vanilla, leather, tobacco, and coffee in addition to rich dark ripe fruit, black cherry, black plum, dried raspberry and dried roses.
Always tannic, this Aglianico has elegant but intense long-lasting tannins that allow pairing this red wine well with venison, rib eye steak, barbecue beef, smoked pork, buffalo burgers and cheeses like pecorino, Parmigiano or cheddar, and vegetable dishes roasted mushrooms, baked beans, lentils, purple potatoes and roasted cauliflower.

Campania – La Rivolta
Located in Torrecuso, in the province of Benevento, Fattoria La Rivolta cultivates vineyards on hilly lands that range in altitude from 300 to 600 meters.
With unique limestone and clay soil, the vineyards are located in one of the smallest DOCs in the region, Taburno, home to some of the most picturesque and mountainous vineyards.
Main wines produced by La Rivolta are traditional Campania whites: Falanghina, Fiano, Greco; and the Aglianico di Taburno and Piedirosso for the red.
