Musto Carmelitano is a family winery run by Miss Elisabetta Musto Carmelitano. With the help of all her family, she was able to invest in the quality of their wine. In 2007 thanks to Mister Fortunato Sebastiano, a qualified oenologist and organic viticulture expert, it became possible to create high-quality wines, combining tradition and a distinctive, terroir-based, winemaking traditions.
The main grape is Aglianico del Vulture which is very carefully selected, handpicked and grown by taking inspiration from the biological and organic agricultural methods.
Musto Carmelitano winery is extremely careful with the transformation of the grape into wine so that all of its precious organoleptic features are preserved. Grapes come from different vineyards: Pian del Moro (70/100 years old), Serra del Prete (50 years old) and Vernavà (30 years old). To accomplish this, the wine does not undergo any clarification or stabilisation process and is made in a natural traditional method with great respect for the environment.
